Son of Jeremiah and Sarah Elizabeth Smith.Enlisted 22/1/16 and drafted abroad 23/8/16 and entered the trenches 1/10/17 and missing on the 4th.A member of St Stephens Church Choir and for 2 years a student of Burnley Techical College.Lt J W Richardson wrote to his parents.A outstanding Student.
