people will be sorry to learn of the death of Pte. Frank Hodge, of the
2nd East Lancashire Regiment. His father who now lives at 11 Pickering-street,
Briercliffe , has now received official intimation from the War Office

well known, and prior to joining the Army resided with his father at Briercliffe.
He was 23 years of age and had been in the army six years. At the outbreak
of war he was with his regiment in South Africa, and straightaway was
moved into the fighting line. Previously he had seen service in India.
